President Ilham Aliyev met with his counterpart from Mauritius
On May 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Mauritius Dharam Gokhool.
As reported by BAKU.WS, thanking the President of Mauritius for participating in the WUF13 event, the head of state said that his visit creates a good opportunity for discussions related to the development of bilateral relations.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the level of political relations.
The President of Mauritius thanked the head of our state for the invitation to this event. He also touched upon the role of his visit in terms of discussing various aspects of bilateral relations.
Noting that during his visit to Baku he visited the ASAN xidmət center, the President of Mauritius emphasized that the conditions created there made a deep impression on him. He expressed interest in applying similar experience in his country.
Noting that Azerbaijan cooperates with various states in creating the ASAN model, President Ilham Aliyev said that our country is ready to provide support to Mauritius on this matter and share its experience.
The guest emphasized the importance of holding such a global-level event as WUF13 in Azerbaijan.
Dharam Gokhool expressed gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for the educational scholarships provided to students from Mauritius and asked to consider the possibility of further increasing their number in the future.
During the meeting, cooperation between our countries in international organizations was discussed, and the role of mutual visits and contacts at various levels in terms of expanding partnership was emphasized. An exchange of views took place on cooperation in the areas of economy, investment, energy, including renewable energy, tourism, and other spheres.
