President: Azerbaijan is ready to assume the chairmanship of the CIS in 2028

I would like to express gratitude for the support of the decision on Azerbaijan's co-chairmanship in the CIS in 2027. We regard this as evidence of high trust in our country and are ready to actively participate in the implementation of common objectives.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the restricted session of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth in Turkmenbashi.

"Azerbaijan is also ready to assume the chairmanship of the CIS in 2028 and to organize a session of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth in the autumn of that year," the head of state emphasized.
