Leyla Aliyeva visited the China National Human Genome Center

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited the China National Human Genome Center in Beijing on April 24.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the center, established based on the conclusion of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, is one of the country-level institutions in the field of genomic research. The China National Human Genome Center promotes the commercialization of scientific research results and the creation of the genomic industry in China. The center implements projects in the areas of fundamental and clinical research, population genetics, and bioinformatics. It is noted that the center uses the latest technological equipment.

Leyla Aliyeva toured the center's laboratories and the biological sample bank. During the conversation with the center's management, potential opportunities for cooperation with relevant structures in Azerbaijan were discussed, including the application of genomic center methods in the treatment of oncological diseases, cerebral palsy, and other diseases.
