The VarYox cultural and artistic platform presented another edition of the annual Her Art in Action festival dedicated to women's creative experiences.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the festival featured an exhibition on the theme "Freedom to Dream," which was attended by the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, and the president of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva.

The exhibition, running from March 9 to April 6, explores how women individually and collectively imagine, express, and visualize their dreams. The festival creates a platform for dialogue, reflection, and artistic exploration through exhibition and public programs.

Curators Leslie Gray and Aina Moazzen selected 23 Azerbaijani and 3 international artists, as well as an international curator. The exhibition features works in various artistic directions, including painting, video art, performance, and installations. The exhibition explores the influence of personal experience, social contexts, and cultural norms on imagination, its boundaries, and possibilities.

In addition to the exhibition, Her Art in Action offers workshops, portfolio reviews, discussions with artists and curators, creating opportunities for professional growth and international collaboration.

The festival is held with the support of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, Pasha Travel, Nar, and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Azerbaijan and continues to remain an important platform for supporting women's voices in art.
