A unusual championship of running in Tyrannosaurus costumes took place in the USA

In the American city of Auburn, Washington, the annual world championship for running in a Tyrannosaurus costume was held. This was reported by CBS News.

More than 300 people participated in the competitions at the Emerald Downs racetrack. Separate races were held for men, women, and children. In one of the disciplines, people in T-Rex costumes had to parachute from an airplane, land on the racetrack, and run to the finish line.

The first race among "tyrannosaurs" took place in 2017. It was organized by the owners of a pest control company to build team spirit.

Since 2022, such competitions have also been held in Japan ― and they are very popular: over the past two years, more than 40 "dinosaur" races have been organized in this country.
