Azerbaijani diaspora leader detained in Yekaterinburg
The head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the Urals, Shahin Shikhlinskiy, was detained near the "Baku Plaza" shopping center in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, this was announced by the Telegram channel URALLIVE citing a source in law enforcement agencies. Footage of the detention appeared on social networks.
It is noted that the Azerbaijani diaspora confirmed the fact of the incident.
"My father has been detained," Mutvaly Shikhlinskiy, the son of Shahin Shikhlinskiy and a lawyer, told the publication.
According to him, the detention was preceded by surveillance of them by people in a car with tinted windows.
