Ilham Aliyev - the architect of the great Victory

Leaders of brotherly countries - the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif spoke at the parade in Baku, expressing words of support and admiration for our country, emphasizing the shared joy, solidarity and pride in the achievements of the Azerbaijani people, writes the newspaper "Caspian".

"Today, we are jointly celebrating the 5th anniversary of the grand Victory that put an end to the 30-year occupation. I congratulate the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate my brother Ilham Aliyev - the architect and leader of this great Victory, and wish him further success," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, adding that every step of the Azerbaijani army on the path to the liberation of Karabakh is written in golden letters in the common history of the Turkic world.

The liberation of Karabakh is a matter of pride not only for Azerbaijan but for the entire Turkic world, he said, expressing confidence that citizens of member states of the Organization of Turkic States share Azerbaijan's joy.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that the victory in the second Karabakh war opened a new page in the history of the region and henceforth "every centimeter of the liberated territories - from Lachin to Shusha, from Zangilan to Khankendi, from Khojaly to Fizuli - is filled with peace, development, prosperity and freedom." "God willing, this atmosphere of peace and trust will continue to strengthen," the Turkish leader concluded.

Invaluable support

This victory once again demonstrated to the whole world the power of faith, determination and brotherhood, as Ankara's support was "unequivocal and invaluable."

Also valuable is the fact that Mevlut Cavusoglu, who was then the Turkish Foreign Minister, visited Azerbaijan five times during the 44 days, sometimes flying in for just a few hours to demonstrate solidarity with Baku and to state: "Brothers, we are with you!"

Moreover, a message was sent from Ankara to all Turkish embassies, according to which instructions coming from Baku were equated to directives from Ankara. Of course, Azerbaijan did not abuse this trust and only communicated through the foreign policy department of the brotherly country. However, the very fact of such a step is unique in world practice and has become a symbol of genuine brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The triumph of justice

"Today my heart is filled with pride, as I see here the strong Azerbaijani people, celebrating a grand event with great enthusiasm and love for the Homeland," said Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during his speech at the military parade dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War.

The Pakistani Prime Minister stated that Azerbaijan's victory in Karabakh has become a source of hope for all peoples fighting for sovereignty and self-determination.

Throughout the struggle of the Azerbaijani people to liberate their ancestral lands, Pakistan stood by Azerbaijan like a rock, Sharif said, emphasizing that it will continue to do so. Azerbaijan's victory in Karabakh was a great triumph of justice, the Pakistani leader emphasized, expressing admiration for the joint participation of the military of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan in the parade.

"To see our victorious armed forces marching in formation together with Azerbaijani and Turkish brothers, to observe JF-17 fighters - a symbol of our strong friendship, in the sky of Baku - this is truly a proud sight," he said.

Phenomenal pace

The Prime Minister of Pakistan called the pace of Azerbaijan's restoration of its liberated territories incredible and absolutely phenomenal. He was also inspired by the grand return of families of forced migrants to Karabakh, to their native lands, calling it "a beautiful symbol of the firm commitment of the President of brotherly Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the well-being and progress of the Azerbaijani people."

"Such incredible pace of restoration of the pearl of Karabakh - the city of Shusha, as well as Khankendi, Fizuli, Lachin and all other liberated territories is absolutely phenomenal," emphasized the Pakistani Prime Minister.

He also noted that "President Ilham Aliyev has wisely guided Azerbaijan on the difficult path to peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia," and emphasized: the country "has achieved peace through skillful diplomacy."
