# How will cooperation with Great Britain change the Azerbaijani army?

In the latest episode of the program "Military Chronicle" on the Baku TV channel, the stage of development achieved in recent years as a result of strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom in the field of defense and security was analyzed.

It is noted that the statement by the British Ambassador to our country, Duncan Norman, on the occasion of Armed Forces Day, indicates that London attaches great importance to its partnership with Baku in the defense sphere, as well as its political readiness to further expand cooperation.

It is emphasized that the visit of the UK Defense Minister Lord Vernon Coaker to Baku at the end of 2025, as well as the signing of the Bilateral Defense Cooperation Plan for 2026-2027, have brought cooperation in the fields of military education, staff training, cybersecurity, military medicine, defense industry, and joint exercises to a new level.

It was particularly highlighted that the training of Azerbaijani officers at military educational institutions of the United Kingdom, cooperation in the field of operational planning in accordance with NATO standards, as well as joint participation in international cybersecurity exercises such as Defence Cyber Marvel, have further strengthened the security partnership between the two countries.

Attention was drawn to the fact that technological cooperation in the defense industry, discussion of joint production opportunities, the lifting by the United Kingdom of arms export restrictions, and the commencement of activities of a permanent defense attaché in Baku have created new opportunities for the expansion of military-technical cooperation.
