Horns and legs of "Artsakh"

In Yerevan, a new "state minister" of the bygone "artsakh" has been appointed. It is a certain Njdeh Iskandaryan. The separatist entity, disbanded in every sense, suddenly decided to acquire a new "head."
The appointment took place right under the nose of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in the very center of Yerevan. At the same time when the country's political leadership was enthusiastically proclaiming dialogue with the Azerbaijani side with honest expressions on their faces at all imaginable and unimaginable international platforms, and expressing readiness to sign a peace agreement with Baku "right now," writes the newspaper "Caspian".
In the captivity of illusions
Recently, Samvel Shahramanyan - the puppet "president" of the notorious "artsakh," of which only the horns and legs remain in the form of a couple dozen activists in Yerevan, was invited to the country's investigative committee to testify about official crimes in the armed forces and for "leaving military equipment to the enemy." That is, Yerevan, on the one hand, shouts at every corner that Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan and Armenia has no territorial claims against our country, and on the other hand, demands an account for the weapons left behind during the flight from Azerbaijani territories during the second Karabakh war. In other words, Armenia doesn't even try to hide that the armed forces of Armenia were fighting on the territory of Azerbaijan - in Karabakh.
And the appointment of a new "state minister" of the non-existent "artsakh" with the silent consent of official Yerevan indicates that the resuscitation of this fairy tale is still in demand in the Armenian political scene. And not only in the Armenian one.
Whom does Medinsky serve?
Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky recently distorted facts regarding the Karabakh war in an interview with RT. In particular, he stated that previously "there was such a disputed region between Armenia and Azerbaijan - Karabakh," and drew an inappropriate parallel with events in Ukraine.
It's hard to believe that Medinsky, being an aide to the President of the Russian Federation, as well as the chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission for Historical Education of Russia, does not know that Karabakh was never a disputed territory.
"We would like to remind that Karabakh is an ancient and integral part of Azerbaijan. Russia itself has recognized and continues to recognize Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan's territory," says the statement of Azerbaijan's foreign policy department in this regard. Meanwhile, such statements damage primarily Russian-Azerbaijani interstate relations. Hence the question: whom does Mr. Medinsky serve?
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, came to Medinsky's aid. Commenting on Medinsky's words to TASS, she emphasized that Moscow officially recognizes this region as the territory of Azerbaijan. According to her, the Russian president's aide was talking about the historical aspect, socio-cultural features, and the pain of people, without touching on the political and legal status of the region. Nothing but verbiage!
