A new composition of the State Commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Georgia has been approved

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on amendments to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the State Commission for the Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia" dated June 30, 2002, No. 966.

As reported by AZERTAC, the document states:

"Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby decree:

1. The composition of the State Commission, approved by the first part of the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the State Commission for the Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia" dated June 30, 2002, No. 966 (Collection of Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2002, No. 6, Article 373 (Volume I), shall be set forth in the following wording:

"Chairman of the Commission

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Deputy Chairman of the Commission

Deputy Head of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Members of the Commission:

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Deputy Head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency

Head of the Executive Authority of Agstafa district

Head of the Executive Authority of Balakan district

Head of the Executive Authority of Gakh district

Head of the Executive Authority of Gazakh district

Head of the Executive Authority of Samukh district

Head of the Executive Authority of Tovuz district

Head of the Executive Authority of Zagatala district

Deputy Head of the State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Head of the Main Directorate for Legislative Issues of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Chairman of the "Agency of Geodesy and Cartography" subordinate to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Deputy Chairman of the Board of the public legal entity "State Cadastre and Real Estate Registry" subordinate to the State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.".

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall resolve the issues arising from this decree.

3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall send a notification to the Georgian side regarding the new composition of the State Commission specified in part 1 of this decree."
