Azerbaijan considers the creation of a unified system of coordination, organization, and management among state structures as a priority in the process of restoring the liberated territories.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev at an event within the framework of WUF13 in Baku.

According to him, while taking into account international experience, Azerbaijan is simultaneously implementing its own model for managing the restoration processes.

"Azerbaijan's main advantage is a unified management system and centralized coordination. The strategic leadership of this process and the assignment of corresponding tasks to state structures are carried out by President Ilham Aliyev," Hikmet Hajiyev emphasized.

He noted that one of the priorities today remains the creation of infrastructure and ensuring safe access to the liberated territories.

"Large-scale demining operations are being conducted in parallel. Since 2020, more than 400 mine incidents have occurred in the liberated territories," the Presidential Assistant stated.

According to him, the mine threat persists even on roads leading to cemeteries where relatives and loved ones of citizens are buried. "Therefore, clearing these territories and ensuring safe passage are of paramount importance," H. Hajiyev noted.

He added that despite the mine threat, Azerbaijan has already ensured the safe return of thousands of citizens to Karabakh and East Zangazur.

"Today, people live, work, receive education, and continue their activities in these territories," the Presidential Assistant emphasized.
