Dutch Foreign Minister condemned Iranian drone strikes on Nakhchivan

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Tom Berendsen called his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, during the phone conversation the parties exchanged views on the escalating tensions in the region. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided his colleague with detailed information about the drone attacks carried out by Iran on the territory of Azerbaijan and the current security situation.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that these attacks are an unacceptable step directed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

Minister Tom Berendsen expressed concern over the situation and strongly condemned the attacks. He noted the importance of ensuring regional stability.

The Dutch minister also expressed gratitude for the assistance provided in the prompt evacuation of Dutch citizens.

During the phone conversation, the parties also exchanged views on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, as well as other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
