Drone Race in the South Caucasus: Azerbaijan's Superiority in the Field of Unmanned Systems
Another episode of the program "What Are They Saying About Us?" (Bizdən nə danışırlar?) aired on Baku TV.
The program notes that Azerbaijan remains the most developed and institutionally prepared operator of unmanned systems in the South Caucasus, continuing to consistently build its potential both through the procurement of modern drones and the development of its own production.
In particular, the program references an article from Geopolitical Monitor titled "The Drone Arms Race: Integration of Unmanned Warfare in the South Caucasus." The publication states that in recent years, Azerbaijan has adopted a number of new unmanned systems, including domestically developed ones such as İti qovan.
Additionally, the director of the Caucasus Center for Political Analysis, Ahmed Alili, noted in an analytical article for Commonspace.eu that the success of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia largely depends on a favorable international environment, which continues to change.
According to him, in 2025, the main focus of analysts is on key issues of the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, including constitutional reforms in Armenia, border delimitation, the opening of transport communications, and the prospects for concluding a peace treaty.
