Eight powerful flares on the Sun occurred on July 4.
This was reported by TASS from the Institute of Applied Geophysics (IAG).
Starting from 03:00 Moscow time (04:00 Baku time - ed.) on July 4, solar flares of the second-highest class M were recorded - ranging from M1.1 to M4.1 and lasting from 15 minutes to 36 minutes.
"On July 4 at 11:52 Moscow time (12:52 Baku time - ed.), an M1.1 flare lasting 15 minutes was registered in the X-ray range in sunspot group 4479 (N14W73)," the IAG reported.
According to IAG data, the magnetic storm intensity over the past 24 hours rose to the G3 level.
