Azerbaijan will begin producing veterinary vaccines for the first time
By the end of the current year, Azerbaijan plans to establish the production of a domestic veterinary vaccine for the first time. The vaccine in question is against rabies and will be entirely produced in our country.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA), in a joint interview with the Trend news agency and Xəzər TV.
According to him, the production site for the vaccine called Rabisafe is the facility of the Food Safety Institute in the Guba district.
"Starting next year, Azerbaijan will vaccinate both domestic and wild animals against rabies using domestically produced preparations. For the vaccination of wild animals, in particular, special bait containing the vaccine is planned to be used. Since the produced preparations fully comply with international standards, their export to other countries is planned in the future. In addition, the production of other veterinary preparations for livestock and poultry farming is also envisaged in the long term," noted G. Tahmazli.
