A new disinformation campaign has begun against Azerbaijan

Recently, a new disinformation campaign against Azerbaijan has begun on several foreign information resources and social media segments. Some messages contain false claims that Azerbaijan is allegedly supplying weapons to Ukraine through third countries, while others spread unreliable information that Azerbaijan is supposedly refusing to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest because of Israel.

This is stated in the announcement by the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MEDİA).

It is noted that the repeated circulation of such materials in Turkish media and social networks under the influence of fake news from the aforementioned media resources spreading disinformation against Azerbaijan causes deep regret.

"We call on the international community, media resources, journalists and public figures not to believe such disinformation and false news, to show principle and vigilance in such cases," the message says.
