Rossbach thanked Ilham Aliyev for the successful hosting of WUF13

Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Anaclaudia Rossbach thanked President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the successful organization of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, she expressed her gratitude in her letter to the head of state:

"On behalf of UN-Habitat, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you and your government for the successful hosting of WUF13, which became an important milestone for the global community and UN-Habitat. The Forum brought together a record number of participants from around the world.

WUF13 was also of historic significance as the first session of the forum held in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region. The successful hosting of WUF13 reflects the firm commitment, leadership, and hospitality of the government and people of Azerbaijan," Rossbach noted.

She also emphasized that WUF13 left an important legacy, including the "WUF13 Baku Standards," which will contribute to the development of operational guidelines for future sessions of the World Urban Forum, as well as the Baku City Award.
