November 6 is celebrated in Azerbaijan as Television and Radio Broadcasting Day - a professional holiday for workers in these fields.

As BAKU.WS reports, on this occasion Baku TV prepared a report about radio heroes who remain "behind the scenes."

It is noted that after gaining independence, several radio channels appeared in the country. Channels broadcasting on FM frequencies and offering music, entertainment, news, and other programs truly felt the mood of the people.

"The jingles of new independent radio stations sounded from every home and car. Radio hosts became famous. Many young people dreamed of working in radio. In those years, the lives of novice hosts changed 180 degrees. Everyone wanted to be on the other side of the microphone - where the voice came from," the material states.

"Listeners in their imagination pictured female hosts as tall and dark-haired," said Planet FM's chief manager Nigar Mammadova, emphasizing that radio for her is excitement.

"Of my 18 years of experience, 16 are connected with working as a host. I get nervous during each broadcast just like on the first day. When you first hear your voice on the radio, you realize that others hear it too, not just you," she noted.

The head of Planet FM's Music and Program Department, Baba Hajiyev, emphasized that the right choice of music helps to compete with other radio stations.

"On Planet FM's broadcast, in addition to national music, songs created with artificial intelligence are also played, which are not broadcast anywhere else," he added.
