The deputy spoke about the upcoming increase in social benefits

In the decree signed by the President of Azerbaijan on December 23, 2024, concerning the increase of social benefits and pensions, the Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to prepare proposals. The Cabinet of Ministers was to prepare and submit proposals to the head of state within three months.

MP Vugar Bayramov said this in his statement to Modern.az.

According to him, the time allotted to the Cabinet of Ministers for preparing proposals has expired:

"It is assumed that the proposals were prepared by the Cabinet of Ministers and submitted to the head of state. Naturally, after evaluating the proposals, in accordance with procedures, the signing of the document by the President is expected at the next stage. Thus, at the new stage of the social package, we will see an increase in social benefits and pensions.

"Which specific social benefits and pensions will be increased will become known after the document is signed. Proposals in this direction were also presented to the Milli Mejlis during budget discussions. Discussions were simultaneously held in the media. But which specific social benefits and pensions will be increased will become known after the document is signed. In any case, at the next stage of the social package, we will see an increase in benefits and pensions," V. Bayramov noted.
