Omer Bulut: Azerbaijan and Turkey will sign a new agreement in the field of ecology and urban planning
On the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Azerbaijan and Turkey are planning to sign a new agreement tomorrow in the field of ecology, urban planning, and territorial development, the details of which have not yet been disclosed.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced to Report by Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change of Turkey Ömer Bulut during WUF13.
According to him, a high level of coordination has already been established between Azerbaijan and Turkey in virtually all areas of public administration.
"From the defense industry to the tourism sector, from agriculture to the construction industry - the two states have always operated on the principle of 'one nation - two states.' Our area covers issues of ecology and urban planning. In this context, Azerbaijan's investments in Turkey, especially the support during the earthquake, are of particular value to us," the deputy minister stated.
The deputy minister emphasized that Turkey is actively sharing with Azerbaijani colleagues its experience in implementing social housing projects and modern urban planning.
"As is known, the Karabakh region is already open for new settlement. Since these territories were under occupation for many years, close cooperation has been established between our countries in the direction of their restoration. Following the negotiations between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, all issues requiring resolution are discussed in detail at the relevant professional level," he said.
According to Ö. Bulut, cooperation between the countries covers both the restoration of the liberated territories of Karabakh and the implementation of projects in other regions of Azerbaijan, including Baku.
"We intend to continue implementing projects that will be beneficial to both countries. Here it is not so much about profit as about brotherhood, strategic partnership, and joint development," the deputy minister added.
