Information has spread online that Ahmed Huseynov, a graduate of the secondary school in the village of Dyuylyun, Ordubad district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, scored the maximum possible result of 300 points on the graduation exam. However, as it became known, his name never appeared on the official list of results.

As reported by Oxu.Az, only two applicants from Nakhchivan managed to achieve such a high result. However, the result was not recognized as valid due to technical reasons.

The reason was related to the applicant's choice of foreign language.

The fact is that the main foreign language at the educational institution is Russian. However, during the exam, the young man chose English, explaining that he felt insecure in Russian.

The State Examination Center commented on the situation, providing clarification:

"The graduation exam subjects refer to the language of instruction, mathematics, and the main foreign language taught at the school. Ahmed Huseynov took the graduation exam in the following subjects: Azerbaijani language, mathematics, and Russian language. Having scored 100 points each in Azerbaijani language and mathematics, he received a low score in Russian language — the main foreign language of his school.

To participate in the competition for admission to higher educational institutions, Ahmed Huseynov exercised his right to choose not the foreign language he took on the graduation exam, but his preferred one — English. Having taken the additional exam, he scored 100 points. This result will be taken into account for university admission."
