Ukraine will receive 16 Gripen fighter jets from Sweden
During a joint press conference between Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, it was announced that Sweden is transferring the first 16 Gripen fighter jets of the JAS 39 Gripen C/D modification to Ukraine.

According to the information, the transfer of the fighter jets will take place in 2027. Zelensky and Kristersson signed a declaration on deepening cooperation between the two countries. Under this declaration, Ukraine will purchase an additional 22 Gripen fighter jets, which are to be delivered by 2030.
"The most modern models are 'Erik' and 'Frederik.' And Ukraine will also purchase 22 new Gripen E series aircraft," Kristersson stated.
Zelensky, in turn, announced that Ukraine expects to receive the Gripen fighter jets within the next 10 months.
