Two airplane-sized asteroids will fly close to Earth in September.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Sterlegrad, this is stated by the Center for the Study of Near-Earth Objects of the space agency.

Asteroids 2025 QD8 and 2025 QV5, each the size of a passenger airplane, will fly close to Earth on September 3 and 4 respectively, the authors of the publication shared details.

The article states that 2025 QD8 will pass at a distance of 136,000 miles from Earth - much closer than the Moon is located. And 2025 QV5 will fly at a distance of 500,000 miles from Earth - as close as possible in the past 100 years, according to the material.

Astronomers say that both space bodies do not pose a threat to Earth. Even if the asteroids suddenly start falling to the Earth's surface, most of them will burn up in the atmosphere.
