Turkish Air Force shot down a drone over the Black Sea

Turkish Air Force F-16 fighters shot down a UAV near the republic's airspace over the Black Sea.

This was reported by the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey.

"A trail approaching our airspace was detected over the Black Sea, and tracking was initiated in accordance with routine procedures. To ensure the safety of our airspace, our F-16 aircraft, under the control of NATO and national authorities, were tasked with emergency response. It was determined that the aerial object was a UAV that had gone out of control, and to avoid negative consequences, it was shot down in a safe area," the statement said.
