Trump ready to meet with Ayatollah Khamenei
US President Donald Trump is ready to meet with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
"I am confident that if tomorrow the Ayatollah [Khamenei] said he wanted to meet with the president, he would agree. Not because he agrees with the Ayatollah, but because he believes this is a way to solve problems in the world and does not consider meeting with someone a concession," he said in an interview with Bloomberg on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
It should be recalled that a new round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington on the issue of resolving the crisis over the nuclear program took place in Muscat (Oman) on February 6.
