Trump ordered the Pentagon to delay strikes on Iranian power plants for five days
US President Donald Trump announced a temporary suspension of military strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure amid productive negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
He wrote about this on the social network Truth Social on March 23.
"I have instructed the military department to postpone any strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five-day period," he wrote on the social network Truth Social.
Trump also reported that the US and Iran had held two days of productive negotiations on conflict resolution.
According to him, one of the main conditions for ceasing strikes is "success in further meetings and discussions" with the Iranian side.
