Trump made an important statement on the ceasefire in Iran
US President Donald Trump does not intend to cease hostilities in Iran. He stated this to journalists while departing from the White House to the state of Florida, RIA Novosti reports.
"I don't want a ceasefire," the American president clarified.
He emphasized that he sees no diplomatic opportunity to resolve the conflict, since there are no leaders left in Iran and "nobody wants to be a leader there." Nevertheless, the US is ready for negotiations, Trump stressed.
The American president emphasized that Iran's army and navy, as well as their radars and air defense systems, have been destroyed.
In addition, Trump emphasized that the US will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, and expressed confidence that if Tehran had nuclear weapons, it would have used them.
