The White House reminded that the U.S. military operation against Iran, according to Washington's estimates, could last 4-6 weeks.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, the corresponding statement by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt was published by the Axios portal.

"The President and the Pentagon estimated that it would take approximately 4-6 weeks to accomplish the objectives. Tomorrow will mark [the completion of] the third week," Leavitt noted.

According to the aforementioned representative of the American administration, the post by the country's President Donald Trump about the possibility of the operation ending soon does not mean that it will happen in the near future. At the same time, as the portal notes, "some of Trump's advisers still lean toward the possibility of conducting a ground operation" on the territory of the Islamic republic.

Earlier on March 20, the head of the American administration posted a publication on Truth Social in which he noted that the U.S. is "considering winding down military efforts in the Middle East with regard to Iran." At the same time, he stated that the U.S. Armed Forces are approaching the fulfillment of the set objectives.
