By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Rashad Hasanov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced to APA by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

It should be noted that Hasanov was born in 1987 in the Shamkir district.

In 2004-2008, he obtained a bachelor's degree in "international economic relations" from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, and in 2009-2010, a master's degree in economic and financial sector management from the University of Glasgow (United Kingdom).

In 2016, he received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in economics from Deakin University (Australia).

Rashad Hasanov worked as an economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as an economist and senior economist at the Australian Ministry of Finance, as a senior lecturer at ADA University, as a consultant and macroeconomist at the World Bank office in Australia, as well as an economist at the UN Resident Coordinator's office in Azerbaijan.

Since 2021, he held the position of advisor to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport.
