Trump: Iran wanted to make me their supreme leader, but I refused
US President Donald Trump claimed that he allegedly received an offer from Iran to become their supreme leader. He noted that he declined it.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Trump's remarks were made at the annual dinner of the National Republican Congressional Committee.
The head of the White House emphasized that there has never been a head of state "who wanted that position less than being the head of Iran."
Trump added that they wanted to make him Iran's supreme leader, but he declined. "We hear them very clearly. They say: 'We would like to make you the next supreme leader.' No, thank you. I don't want that," Trump said.
