Trump called for holding Soros accountable

US President Donald Trump called for criminal prosecution of billionaire George Soros for allegedly supporting "violent protests" across the country.

As BAKU.WS reports, Trump published the corresponding statement on his social network Truth Social.

"George Soros and his radically-minded supporters should be held accountable under the RICO law for supporting violent protests and other actions on US territory," wrote the head of the White House.

The RICO law (on combating organized crime and corruption) provides for criminal prosecution and civil liability for participation in activities related to racketeering and profiting from organized crime.

George Soros is the founder of hedge fund Soros Fund Management and one of the largest sponsors of the US Democratic Party. In the 2024 presidential election, he supported the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost to Donald Trump.
