The US deploys "invisible" weapon: a critical moment for Iran
As the deadline given to official Tehran before a possible transition of American-Israeli strikes on Iran into a ground operations phase expires, one of the decisions by the United States Armed Forces Central Command has come into focus.
Against the backdrop of reports that the attacking tandem has already lost seven aerial combat assets, Bloomberg agency, citing its sources, reported that the United States has begun transferring all its stocks of long-range stealth cruise missiles AGM-158 JASSM-ER to the Middle East — missiles that possess stealth characteristics and are virtually undetectable by radar systems.
According to the information, the missiles were withdrawn from the Pacific region and redirected to the area of responsibility of the U.S. Armed Forces Central Command, and also deployed at American bases in the United Kingdom.
The strategically significant decision raised two key questions: why was this done right now, and why were JASSM-ER missiles chosen?
In the new edition of the "Military Chronicle" segment on Baku TV, clarity has been brought to these and other matters.
