Putin is ready to accept the US concept regarding Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin during talks with American leader Donald Trump in Alaska confirmed readiness for settlement in Ukraine based on the concept proposed by Washington.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the Hungarian YouTube channel "Ultrahang".
"In Alaska, Russian President Putin said that he is ready to cooperate on the basis of the concept and framework approach that President Trump's special representative presented in Moscow and which they continued to discuss in Anchorage," the minister said.
The head of Russian diplomacy noted that the Russian president repeated in detail each element of the concept brought by the American leader's special envoy Steven Witkoff. "[Putin] asked him, since he was present at the negotiations in Anchorage: 'Is this correct? Is that so?' Everything was confirmed," Lavrov said.
After that, according to Lavrov, the president stated that Moscow is ready to accept their concept and "move forward in practical terms on the proposed basis." The minister noted that there was no direct response to the proposal. "The parties agreed to take a pause to consider the proposals," Lavrov indicated.
