Parallel Realities: A Factor Paralyzing the Peace Process in the Middle East
The two-week ceasefire reached between the US and Iran should have, at first glance, reduced tensions in the Middle East. However, the real situation is unfolding differently. Because there is a country that has been left out of this agreement, and that is Lebanon. It is precisely this aspect that is becoming the main factor paralyzing the peace process.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a video material by Baku TV.
US President Donald Trump openly stated that the ceasefire regime does not extend to Lebanon. Israel holds the same position. At the same time, Iran and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who is acting as a mediator, claim the opposite.
The resulting contradiction no longer looks like a mere diplomatic disagreement, but rather the existence of two parallel realities. For one side, the war has stopped, while for the other, it continues.
