Pakistan turned to the USA and Iran
Pakistan urges the US and Iran to refrain from escalation and not to violate the terms of the Islamabad Memorandum. This is stated in a statement by the republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Pakistan expresses deep concern over the escalation of tensions in the region. The resumption of conflict serves no one's interests. Pakistan calls on all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from any actions that could further undermine regional peace and stability," the publication states.
Islamabad "strongly urges all parties to fulfill their obligations under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, which remains a solid foundation for mutual understanding, mutual respect, and shared prosperity in the region and beyond," the foreign ministry stated.
