Netanyahu and Kushner agreed on Hamas disarmament before IDF withdrawal from Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior U.S. presidential adviser Jared Kushner reached an agreement on the full demilitarization of Gaza and the disarmament of Hamas before the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces.

According to the information, the agreement was reached during a four-hour meeting between Netanyahu and Kushner devoted to the implementation of the Peace Council's plan for a settlement in Gaza.

According to the source, the reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave will begin only after Hamas is disarmed throughout the entire territory of Gaza.

Netanyahu demanded that the first step be the handover of weapons by members of the movement to the commander of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza, General Jasper Jeffers. The process is expected to take place under American oversight.

A source in the Peace Council stated that the parties agree on the ultimate goal — the full disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza, which should be followed by the complete withdrawal of IDF forces. According to him, the movement must demonstrate real steps toward disarmament within a few weeks.

Israel also insists on maintaining Israeli army positions along the "yellow line" separating the territories controlled by each side and demands the ability to prevent threats to its servicemen.

In addition, the threat of a sanitary catastrophe in Gaza was discussed at the meeting. The participants agreed to develop measures to prevent the spread of epidemics and contamination of underground and coastal waters.

According to the Israeli side, the meeting took place in a positive atmosphere.

"I will not interfere in how you ensure your security," Kushner said.

At the same time, Israel made it clear that it would not agree to steps that could create conditions for the establishment of a Palestinian state. The American side expressed its determination to achieve the implementation of the agreements reached.
