Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the leaders of Middle Eastern countries following strikes on facilities in the region's states.

The corresponding message was published on his account on the social network X.

"Dear leaders of friendly and neighboring countries, we tried to avoid war with your help and through diplomatic means, but the American-Zionist military attack left us no choice but to defend ourselves. We respect your sovereignty and continue to believe that peace in the region should be ensured by the countries of the region," the politician emphasized.

Earlier, media reported that the United States is trying to convince Middle Eastern countries affected by the escalation of the situation in the region to join in strikes against Iran. At the same time, it is noted that the Persian Gulf countries are currently counting on a swift de-escalation of the conflict and the end of the military operation.
