Kevin Spacey denies rumors of being homeless and apologizes to fans

Famous American actor and director Kevin Spacey, who previously surprised the public with statements about not having a permanent home, explained that his words were misinterpreted.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to UNIAN, he addressed his followers on Instagram to clarify the situation. According to Spacey, after an interview which created the impression that he was homeless, people began writing to him offering housing and inquiring about his condition:

"In connection with recent publications claiming that I am homeless, I felt the need to respond. Not to the press, but to the thousands of people who contacted me, offered a place to live, or simply asked if I was okay. I want to tell you that I am deeply touched by your kindness. But it would be dishonest of me to let you believe that I am actually homeless, as it sounds in the headlines."

Kevin admitted that he is going through a difficult period and living in hotels, but does not consider himself comparable to people who have lost their roof over their heads. "Many people actually live on the streets, in cars, experiencing serious financial difficulties. I sincerely care about them. But it's clear from the article that I don't belong to such people and wasn't trying to compare myself to them. That's why I'm very ashamed that an article came out with a headline that distorts the meaning for the sake of clicks," the actor apologized.
