IRGC struck Amazon's cloud center in Bahrain
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported striking an Amazon cloud computing center (Amazon Web Services) in Bahrain.
This was reported by Al Jazeera.
According to the IRGC's statement, this attack was the first practical warning directed at the adversary.
"If the warnings are ignored and the killings continue, we will punish the following companies, which we have already announced, much more severely. Responsibility for the complete destruction of these companies in the region lies with the President of the United States," the statement reads.
In addition, today the IRGC launched missiles at the Al-Hidd Industrial City in Bahrain, which encompasses nearly the entire steel and metallurgical sector of the island.
Since the beginning of the military conflict in the Middle East, Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers have been struck on multiple occasions.
Earlier, the IRGC threatened to strike American companies in retaliation for the deaths of Iranian citizens as a result of attacks.
As a reminder, on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, which resulted in the deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of high-ranking officials. In response, Iran has been striking Israel, as well as targets in countries hosting U.S. military bases and those of their allies — in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus.
