Iran's Foreign Ministry named the main problem in Iranian-American relations
Tehran has issued a denial of reports about an alleged new mediator emerging in relations between Iran and the United States.
As reported by Tasnim News, this statement was made during a press conference by the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Esmail Baghaei.
According to him, Pakistan and Qatar continue to perform their mediating function in transmitting messages between the two sides and facilitate maintaining contacts on issues related to Iranian-American interaction.
Baghaei also drew attention to the fact that a number of European states have expressed readiness to voice their own positions and make mediating efforts within the framework of bilateral dialogue. However, as he specifically emphasized, such initiatives do not indicate the emergence or recognition of any new mediator in the process of Iranian-American interaction.
The Iranian diplomatic representative pointed out that the key problem in relations between Tehran and Washington lies not in a shortage of mediators, but in the divergence of the sides' approaches, the "miscalculations" made, and the United States' unwavering adherence to the policies and methods that have already repeatedly proven their "failure."
