Iran is ready for an agreement guaranteeing the prevention of its acquisition of nuclear weapons.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Abbas Araghchi at a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.

He clarified that Tehran will not accept conditions limiting the republic's legitimate rights to develop peaceful nuclear energy.

"We are ready for any agreement aimed at preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. But if the purpose of the agreement is to deprive Iran of its legitimate rights to peaceful nuclear energy, then naturally, we are not ready for such an agreement," Araghchi noted.

He emphasized that Israel's attack is aimed at disrupting negotiations between Iran and the US on the nuclear program, and Tehran regrets that Washington supported this attack.

"Over the past two days, we have received assurances from the US through various channels, claiming that they did not participate and will not participate in this attack. As I have already said, we do not believe these statements, as the evidence we have indicates the opposite," said Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The minister said that Iran planned to present its plan for a possible agreement on the nuclear deal to the American side at the sixth round of negotiations. However, Israel's attacks during the negotiation period indicate opposition to any diplomatic actions, Abbas Araghchi believes.
