Breakthrough in negotiations: Ukraine and the USA signed a preliminary memorandum

The United States and Ukraine have taken a significant step in developing bilateral relations by signing a memorandum of intent as part of negotiations on a resource deal. According to the reputable British publication Financial Times, citing its own sources, the official signing of a full-fledged agreement may take place as early as next week.
"Officials said the memorandum was signed 'practically,' and they hope to complete work on a full economic agreement by the end of next week," reports the Financial Times.
Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, in her comments to the publication, emphasized the strategic importance of the upcoming document. According to her, the full agreement "will open opportunities for significant investments, infrastructure modernization, and mutually beneficial partnership between Ukraine and the United States."
Financial Times experts assess the signing of the memorandum as a key moment that brings the challenging negotiation process "back on track" after a period of uncertainty.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that the final agreement between Washington and Kyiv on Ukrainian minerals would be concluded on April 24.
