16-year-old teenager from Bobruisk arrested for false bomb threats
In Bobruisk, a 16-year-old teenager has been detained in custody, accused of knowingly making false threat reports. According to the Mogilev Region prosecutor's office, he organized the distribution of false messages about bomb threats and hostage situations that had no factual basis.
The teenager searched for executors through Telegram, offering a reward of 300-500 Russian rubles. The hired individuals would call the duty unit and read a pre-prepared text. In January 2025, at the accused's initiative, eight false danger reports were made to Bobruisk law enforcement agencies.
Five times there were reports about "bomb threats" at the college where the teenager himself studies. Two more times - about allegedly planted explosive devices in a local store and the "Svisloch" children's sanatorium in the Osipovichi district. Also, one of the calls contained information about a "hostage situation" at the same college.
The minor's actions are qualified under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 340 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. It should be noted that criminal liability for knowingly false threat messages begins at the age of 14.
