Blogger Lydia August got Botox injections and lost the ability to open her eye for months. She shared this information on her TikTok.

The influencer with the username lydiaaugus said that she got injections of the mentioned drug from a neurologist to relieve migraine symptoms. However, after the procedure, one of the girl's eyelids completely drooped, covering her eye. "For the next 12 weeks, you'll be winking at me," she ironically stated.

According to The New York Post (NYP), August's condition is called ptosis.

"We ask people not to bend forward, lie down, etc. for about 4 hours after the injection to avoid displacement of the drug and the potential occurrence of this rare complication associated with affecting a muscle for which it is not intended," explained Dr. Alan Matarasso.

It is known that the side effect experienced by the user is temporary. "While this outcome is understandably disappointing, it is temporary and will completely disappear," concluded the publication's interviewee Caitlin Nelson.
