According to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, the epicenter of the tremors was located in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir province.
The earthquake was recorded at 21:22 local time (coinciding with Baku time - editor's note). The hypocenter was at a depth of 10.55 kilometers.
