The type of coffee that least disrupts sleep has been named
Dietitian Salena Sainz stated that one type of coffee can be drunk in the afternoon without the risk of insomnia. She named it in a conversation with the publication Hola.
"Naturally roasted coffee made from 100 percent Arabica beans is usually the best option if you are going to drink it in the afternoon. Arabica beans contain approximately 30−50 percent less caffeine than Robusta beans. (…) This can lead to less stimulation of the nervous system," Sainz explained.
And although this type of beverage disrupts sleep significantly less, it is important to consider the total amount of caffeine, which will depend on the brewing method and cup size, the specialist added. In addition, she urged people to take into account each person's individual reactions to this substance.
