The longest day of the year has arrived on Earth

June 21 has begun on Earth - the longest day of the year.
As BAKU.WS reports, RIA Novosti reminded about this with reference to the Moscow Planetarium.
This day is also called the summer solstice - on June 21, the Sun visually stops its movement at the highest point of maximum declination. This is what they call the angle of the Earth's equator to which the star rises from the plane.
At this moment, the Sun will reach its most distant position from the celestial equator. In the Northern Hemisphere of Earth, astronomical summer will begin, and in the Southern Hemisphere - winter.
Starting from this day of the year, the length of daylight will gradually decrease - until December 21, when the winter solstice will occur, and everything will continue in a cycle.
