The doctor named the most beneficial fish for the heart
American cardiologist Nina Radford revealed which fish is considered the most beneficial for maintaining cardiovascular health. The specialist shared her opinion in a conversation with Parade magazine.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the expert named salmon as one of the most valuable foods for the heart due to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids. These substances help reduce inflammatory processes in the body, contribute to improving vascular health, and lower the risk of blood clot formation. According to the American specialist, unlike beef and pork, salmon contains significantly less saturated fat, an excess of which can negatively affect health.
The cardiologist also recommended including fish in the diet at least twice a week. The optimal serving size, according to her, is about 100 grams. At the same time, preference should be given to baking, boiling, or steaming, while avoiding frying.
According to the American expert, regular consumption of salmon can help reduce the risk of developing heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and other dangerous cardiovascular diseases. The specialist emphasized that a balanced diet remains one of the key factors in maintaining heart health for many years to come.
