Scientists have discovered what time of day and what day of the week people are the happiest

British scientists have conducted an unprecedented large-scale study examining the psychological state of nearly 50,000 people. Specialists from University College London analyzed over a million responses to determine patterns in people's mood fluctuations.
The study results proved truly surprising. Morning hours were identified as the time of highest emotional uplift, while midnight became a peculiar point of psychological minimum.
According to the study's lead author, Dr. Feifei Bu from the Department of Behavioral Science and Health: "The obtained data shows a clear tendency toward improved mental health in the morning hours." However, the scientist emphasizes the need for additional research to confirm these observations.
The study's methodology adds particular value: instead of directly asking about preferred times of day, scientists analyzed actual mood indicators at the time of the survey.
Notably, participants' happiness levels gradually increased throughout the study period - from the peak of the pandemic in 2020 to 2022.
An unexpected discovery was the "formula for a happy week": maximum life satisfaction levels were recorded on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, while the minimum was on Sunday.
