Products that cause hidden inflammation in the body

We are used to thinking that inflammation is something acute: fever, pain, swelling. But there is another type - chronic (hidden) inflammation, which develops slowly, without obvious symptoms, but destroys health from within.
It is associated with type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, joint diseases, and even depression. One of the key factors in the development of hidden inflammation is the daily diet. What foods trigger hidden inflammation?
Ultra-processed foods (UPF). Sausages, hot dogs, chips, snacks, "ready-to-eat breakfasts", sweet bars. They contain trans fats, flavor enhancers, preservatives, and excess sugar. UPF disrupt the functioning of the intestines and immune system, increase intestinal wall permeability ("leaky gut"), raising inflammatory markers (CRP, IL-6).
Sweet drinks and sugar. Soda, juices, energy drinks, sweet tea. Frequent sugar consumption leads to sharp insulin spikes and increases the production of inflammatory cytokines.
Foods with high glycemic index (GI). White bread, buns, french fries, white rice. They lead to a sharp increase in blood glucose levels → oxidative stress → inflammation.
Vegetable oils high in omega-6. Sunflower, corn, soybean oil (in excess). Omega-6 is important, but when in excess, it disrupts the balance with omega-3 → stimulation of inflammatory processes.
Industrially raised meat. Contains residues of hormones, antibiotics, as well as an altered fat profile (more omega-6, less omega-3). Processed meat (bacon, ham, sausage) enhances inflammatory reactions.
Dairy products (in sensitive people). Especially - industrial processing, high-fat cheeses and yogurts with additives. With lactase deficiency or sensitivity to casein, an inflammatory response from the intestines may develop.
Alcohol (especially frequent and moderate consumption). Even small doses (1 glass of wine/day) can disrupt the microbiota balance and contribute to inflammation.
Summary: how to understand that you may have hidden inflammation? Frequent fatigue, "brain fog". Joint pain without cause. Digestive problems, bloating. Slow recovery after workouts. Excess weight, especially in the abdominal area.
What helps reduce inflammation? Vegetables and berries (antioxidants). Fatty fish (omega-3). Olive oil, turmeric, ginger, garlic. Fermented products (kefir, yogurt, kimchi). Nuts, seeds, greens.
Hidden inflammation is an invisible enemy. It slowly undermines the body, and the main cause often lies in daily nutrition. By removing inflammatory foods, you're not just losing weight - you're extending your active, healthy life.
